The BLS for Healthcare Provider Course is designed to teach skills of CPR for victims of all ages. This course includes the use of ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, use of an AED and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. It is intended for participants who provide healthcare to patients in a wide variety of healthcare settings, including but not limited to physicians, nurses, paramedics and emergency medical technicians. Upon the successful completion of this course the participant will receive a course completion card. The length of this course is 6 hours. The cost for this class is $40.00 for Minooka/Channahon residents, and $55.00 for non-residents.
The Heartsaver 1st Aid with C.P.R. Course is designed to teach skills of General Principles, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies and Environmental Injuries to all lay rescuers. This course also teaches the skills of CPR and the use of an AED. It is intended for participants who are expected to be first responders to a medical emergency. Upon the successful completion of this course the participant will receive a course completion card. The length of this course is 8 hours. The cost for this class is $50.00 for Minooka/Channahon residents, and $65.00 for non-residents.
The C.P.R. for Family and Friends targets all lay rescuers who want to learn rescue skills for loved ones. This course is designed to teach skills of CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction to all lay rescuers. The length of this course is 4 hours. There is no charge for this class.

Bring the completed registration form and the non-refundable payment by registration deadline to the appropriate fire department Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm. Registration forms and payments will not be accepted via mail, after 4pm or on weekends. Phone calls for pre-registration will not be accepted. Class placement is on a first come, first serve basis.
